Searching for Images
There are three ways to search the image bank, which contains images from across the West Midlands region.
By sub-region
In the resource search box, select a sub-region by using the 'Location' drop down menu bar and click on the search button.
By topic area
In the resource search box, select a topic of interest from the drop down menu bar and click on the search button.
Free text search
In the resource search box, type in the words that you wish to search by and click on the search button.
Your search results will produce thumbnails of the images relating back to your search criteria. Clicking on an image will take you to a medium sized image which the user can then download.
Downloading Images/Video/Maps/Endorsements
In order to download an image the user will be asked to register their details and must read and accept the terms and conditions for use of the images. Users will then be sent a password, which they will have to enter in order to download high-resolution images.
To download a resource:
Windows
Internet Explorer: Right-Click on the link and choose "Save Target As..." from the pop-up menu.
Netscape: Right-Click on the link and choose "Save Link As..." from the pop-up menu.
Macintosh
Internet Explorer: Control-Click on the link and choose "Download Link to Disk" from the pop-up menu.
Netscape: Control-Click on the link and choose "Save this Link as..." from the pop-up menu.
